Innovative Entrepreneurship:

Proposition of an Integrative Conceptual Framework

Abstract

Objective: The aim of this article is to analyze the factors that determine innovative entrepreneurship based on the literature on the subject.

Methodology: This study is qualitative and quantitative, descriptive / exploratory. It was supported by a systematic literature review, with data extraction from the Web of Science and Scopus databases, with a total sample of 114 articles.

Results: An integrative conceptual framework of innovative entrepreneurship is proposed, based on the six clusters sought in the literature analysis: Conceptualization, Entrepreneurship Education, Innovative Entrepreneurship as an engine of the economy, Entrepreneurial Ecosystem, Public Policies as a stimulus for innovative entrepreneurship and Digital Entrepreneurship.

Conclusion: The study advances the current stage of research on innovative entrepreneurship and encourages the construction of a consolidated concept. Contributes to understanding the conceptualization, practice and considerable benefits of the topic. It also offers subsidies on innovative entrepreneurship for the regulatory framework and public policies, education, creation of ecosystems, digital economy and formation of new ventures as a strategy to overcome economic bottlenecks in countries and institutions.

Cristina Dai Prá Martens, Universidade Nove de Julho

Doutorado em Administração, na área de Sistemas de Informação e de Apoio à Decisão, pelo PPGA/EA/UFRGS (2009), com tese sobre Orientação Empreendedora; Pós-doutorado no CERAG/UPMF-Université Pierre Mendès-France (Grenoble-França - 2010), na área de Empreendedorismo e Estratégia. Possui Mestrado em Administração, com ênfase em Sistemas de Informação e de Apoio à Decisão, pelo PPGA/EA/UFRGS e Centro Universitário UNIVATES (2001); Especialização em Gestão Universitária, pelo Centro Universitário UNIVATES (2006); Graduação em Administração pela UPF-Universidade de Passo Fundo (1994); Formação em Dinâmica de Grupos pela SBDG (2004). É coordenadora do Programa de Mestrado Profissional em Administração - Gestão de Projetos e professora no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Administração (PPGA), na Universidade Nove de Julho-UNINOVE.
