Abstract

Objective: To analyze the perception of value innovation generated by the adoption and use of an Integrated Management System for Academic Activities - SIGAA in Brazilian Public Universities.

Method: This is an applied research, with an exploratory-descriptive objective and a quantitative multi-case approach. We applied 815 questionnaires at 15 universities. The questions in the questionnaire are based on the “radar of value innovation in the public sector”, proposed by Martins et al. (2019).

Results: We analyzed the innovation perceived by users of the SIGAA "graduate" module in relation to accessibility, usability, motivation, usefulness, promptness, satisfaction, economy, governance, organization, social impact, trust and culture.

Conclusions: It was concluded that: i) most users perceive the system as a simple manual labor automation tool; ii) “Utility” is the factor that most contributes to the perception of value innovation; and iii) the redesign of processes and modules should be prioritized, aiming at improvements regarding usability, accessibility and motivation.
